Fola – 9

Afrobeats fans have another album to add to their playlists as Nigerian singer FOLA delivers 9, his second studio album, released on October 9, 2026. The 14-track project arrives through Dangbana Republik Records and EMPIRE, following the singer’s 2025 debut album, Catharsis. Featuring Davido, Ayra Starr, BNXN, Darkoo, Bella Shmurda, and Zlatan, the album brings together a strong selection of guest artists while allowing FOLA to remain at the centre of the listening experience. With a total duration of approximately 39 minutes, 9 offers a combination of solo performances and collaborations for listeners who enjoy discovering both emerging favourites and familiar names in modern Afrobeats.

There is plenty to explore across the album’s tracklist, beginning with “awade” and “how many?” before FOLA teams up with Davido on “2am in toronto.” The project continues with “stubborn,” “miss u ii (nriri),” “in order,” and “treat u right” featuring Ayra Starr, followed by “attention!,” “fine $hit,” “waf,” and “crime.” Later on, BNXN joins FOLA on “my type,” while Darkoo appears on “hold u down.” The album closes with “it’s over,” featuring Bella Shmurda and Zlatan. Beyond the guest appearances, the title 9 has a personal meaning for FOLA, drawing inspiration from the number nine football shirt associated with a striker, a position he played growing up in Ibadan.

If you enjoy keeping up with new Afrobeats albums, FOLA – 9 deserves a place on your music discovery list. The project gives fans an opportunity to experience his music beyond individual singles, with tracks that explore different subjects and collaborations that connect him with established artists across the scene. Whether you are drawn to “2am in toronto” with Davido, “treat u right” with Ayra Starr, “my type” with BNXN, or the closing collaboration with Bella Shmurda and Zlatan, there are several entry points into the album. Search for FOLA – 9 on your preferred streaming platform to listen to the complete project and discover the songs that suit your taste.
